Privacy Policy
BOOKEEEZ collects the information needed to run a booking marketplace: accounts, profiles, requests, bookings, messages, payments, reviews and optional calendar connections.
This page explains what is collected, why it is used, who can see it, and the choices you have.
Account information
- Your name and email address, and your sign-in method (email, Google or Apple).
- Whether you use BOOKEEEZ as a client, a professional, or both.
- Your profile photo, if you upload one.
Passwords and social sign-in credentials are handled by the authentication provider — BOOKEEEZ never sees your password.
Professional profile information
If you offer services, you also provide a bio, category, service area or location, services and prices, portfolio images, social or portfolio links and availability.
Published professional profile information is intentionally public so clients can find, compare and book you.
Booking and message information
- Requests, quotes, booking dates, statuses and cancellations.
- Messages exchanged between a client and a professional about a request.
- Reviews you write after a completed booking.
The two people involved in a booking can see each other's first name and photo so they know who they are meeting. Message content is visible only to the two participants and, where strictly necessary, to BOOKEEEZ for safety, fraud or dispute handling.
Location information
Location search is optional. If you choose "use my current location", your device location is used once to find nearby places and is not stored as a tracking history.
Professionals' service areas are stored on their public profile because clients need to know where a service happens.
Google Calendar and Google user data
Connection is optional
If you connect Google Calendar, BOOKEEEZ asks Google only for permission to manage calendar events, plus your email address and basic profile so we can show which account is connected.
What BOOKEEEZ creates and removes
BOOKEEEZ creates one calendar event for a confirmed BOOKEEEZ booking, and removes or cancels that event if the booking is cancelled.
What BOOKEEEZ does not read
BOOKEEEZ does not read, import or display your existing calendar events, and does not use your calendar to determine your availability. Availability comes only from the hours you set in BOOKEEEZ.
What is stored
BOOKEEEZ stores an encrypted connection credential, the email address of the connected account, and the identifier of events BOOKEEEZ created, so a cancelled booking can be removed again. BOOKEEEZ never stores the contents of your calendar.
Sharing and service providers
Google Calendar data is never sold and never shared with other BOOKEEEZ users. Clients cannot see a professional's calendar, and professionals cannot see a client's calendar. It is shared only with Google when creating or removing events in your own account, and with hosting and integration providers that process it solely to provide those services.
Disconnecting
Disconnecting Google Calendar in your profile revokes BOOKEEEZ access and deletes the stored credential.
Limited use
BOOKEEEZ's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used for advertising, is not sold or transferred for advertising or credit purposes, is not read by humans except with your explicit consent, for security or abuse investigations, to comply with the law, or where required for operations on data made anonymous and aggregated, and is not used to develop, improve or train generalised AI or machine-learning models.
Why information is used
- To create and secure your account.
- To let clients discover professionals and see real availability.
- To handle requests, quotes, bookings, notifications and reviews.
- To process payments, refunds and professional payouts.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of the platform.
- To fix problems and improve the product.
BOOKEEEZ does not sell your personal information.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure payment page and are never collected, seen or stored by BOOKEEEZ.
BOOKEEEZ keeps only the payment records needed to run bookings, refunds and payouts, such as amounts, currency, status and the payment reference. Payments.
Service providers
BOOKEEEZ relies on service providers for hosting, database, authentication, file storage, location search, payments, messages, notifications and optional calendar integrations. They process data only to provide those services.
Keeping and deleting data
Account, profile and booking records are kept while your account is active and for as long as needed for legal, accounting, safety or dispute reasons.
You can edit or remove most profile information yourself at any time, and you can ask for your account and data to be deleted.
Your choices
- Access, correct or update your account and profile information in the app.
- Unpublish a professional profile so it is no longer publicly visible.
- Disconnect Google Calendar from your profile if you connected it.
- Request a copy of your data, or request deletion of your account.
